P-Money
mentioned something about J-Dilla on Twitter the other day ("dilla had swing... too many of these other cats are just bad drummers."), and it reminded me of this interview I read with Questlove Thompson from The Roots about Dilla, and how he'd program his beats as 128 bar loops. Most beatmakers stick to 8 or 16 bars.
A few folk were keen to see the story (from Modern Drummer magazine, 2005), so I dug out the magazine and scanned it.
