Wellington venue Mighty Mighty has announced it will be closing down, later this year. The Dominion Post reports the closure, saying the owners only ever intended the bar as a short term venture. It opened in late 2006 and was planned as a two to three year venue.
The article doesn't go into any great detail as to the reasons for the closure, or if the new licencing laws with earlier closing times were behind the decision. The owner says "circumstances for the owners have changed" as the reason for closure. Interesting that they're closing, rather than selling up.
